Pocket Welder Helper ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Pocket Welder Helper mobile application ("App").

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Anonymous account data — By default the App creates an anonymous account so your data can be saved without requiring a login. No personal information is collected at this stage.
• Account information — If you choose to sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers. This is optional and only used to back up your data.
• User-generated content — Machine logbook entries, saved quotes, custom weld settings, and community photos you choose to upload.
• Usage data — We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage statistics such as which features are used most. This data does not identify you personally.
• Device information — Basic device info (OS version, device model) collected by Firebase for crash reporting and analytics.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's features
• To back up and sync your data across devices (when signed in)
• To process subscription payments via RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play
• To send push notifications about new welding tips and articles (you can opt out in device settings)
• To improve the App based on usage patterns
• To respond to support requests

Advertising

Free tier users may see banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to show relevant ads. Pro and Elite subscribers are ad-free. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which is hosted on Google Cloud Platform. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes all your data from our systems.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (via Settings → Delete account)
• Opt out of analytics by adjusting your device's privacy settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
